The AT Team resides out of the Children’s Program in Wascana Rehabilitation Centre in Regina and is comprised of:
- Occupational Therapy; focuses on how to access your communication, games and school work and how to incorporate the identified equipment into your space
- Speech-Language pathology, focuses on providing the language opportunities to build meaningful relationships in your day
The AT Team works to provide assessment, consultation, recommendations and ongoing assistance to children and youth who have developmental, physical and/or cognitive disabilities who require some form of Assistive Technology to participate in their activities of daily living. Recommendations can focus on activities in their home, their community, their daycare, their school or other places they commonly spend their day.
Your child may be referred to the Assistive Technology Team by a parent, therapist, teacher or any member of the child’s care team. To initiate a referral you can call the Children’s Program at 306-766-5710 or you can complete the forms below and send them directly to the AT Team via fax 306-766-5189 or by email to ChildrensProgramATRegina@saskhealthauthority.ca
Please see links to forms below. The forms to include depend on what area of skill you are seeking to address. A referral will be accepted and reviewed based on the completion of the forms. The AT Team may contact family or school teams for more information before determining a plan of action.
