Our audiologists work in Hearing Health Services and are responsible for testing, counselling and treatment of many types of hearing loss in children.
Our team's services are available at the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital (JPCH) in Saskatoon, Royal University Hospital (RUH) in Saskatoon and the Children's Program at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre in Regina. We provide services to Saskatchewan children ages 0-18. Our audiologists are able to prescribe and fit hearing aids and other assistive listening devices for children with reduced hearing. We also provide assessments to determine if a child is eligible for cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing devices. We provide follow-up care for children who use these devices.
Some children may be seen by an audiologist while they are a patient at the hospital, but most children are seen through outpatient (non-overnight) clinics by appointment.
