Autism Diagnostic Assessment
The length of time and parts of an autism diagnostic assessment are not the same for all children. All autism diagnostic assessments will involve a caregiver interview and observation of your child. Depending on the assessment needs of your child, the diagnostic assessment may also include:
- Questionnaires
- Standardized autism specific assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) or the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R)
- Standardized assessments to assess thinking, reasoning, learning, language and or motor skills
- Interviews with child care workers/teachers and or observation of your child at daycare or school
